Chris is a Senior operations leader with over 28 years of sales and general management experience leading diverse organizations with complex environments that produce noteworthy and sustainable results. He is a US Air Force Veteran and holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from Southern Illinois University, and Master of Science in Systems Management from the University of Southern California. He has worked in variety of industries on both the Manufacturing and Service sides of the business.
Chris leverages exceptional customer focus and employee engagement to facilitate financial growth. Highly skilled in organizational and process changes to improve service quality and operating performance, he has spent the last 18 years of his career in the HVAC and Controls Business, with both an OEM and Mechanical Contractor.
John Ayd
John J. Ayd joined Knott Mechanical as the Vice President of Sales in 2011.
John received his B.S. in Business Administration from Towson University and began his sales career in 1981 with Carrier Corporation. While at Carrier, John held positions in service sales, sales management and service management with the company’s factory service group. From 1996 to 2011, John held the position of Commercial Sales Manager for the Service Division of a large, local HVAC and Mechanical service provider. John brings thirty six years of Commercial / Industrial HVAC service experience in the Baltimore market to Knott Mechanical.
John is married with two children and four grandchildren. He enjoys family, travel, boating and fishing.
Joe Pyles
Joseph is the Plumbing Service Manager at Knott Mechanical Inc.
He started in the trade out of high school in 1978, and has dedicated his career to the plumbing industry. Since 1998 his main focus has been in management and estimating.
He has been married for (20) years and enjoys hunting, crabbing, and entertaining family and friends.
Tony is the HVAC Service Manager at Knott Mechanical Inc.
He started in the trade out of high school in 1986, and has dedicated his career to the HVAC industry. Since 2002 his main focus has been in management and customer service.
He has been married for (14) years and has two children. He enjoys traveling, hiking, antique cars and spending time with family and friends.
Martin is the President, Founder and co-owner of Knott Mechanical Inc. and Founder and co-owner of Wye River Technologies.
He is very active in the not-for- profit community. Recently, the President of the Maryland State Senate and Speaker of the House appointed him Chair of the 21st Century School Commission. He is also a member of the Maryland Economic Development Commission.
On the national front, Martin is a board member of The World as It Could Be and The Rex Foundation both based in San Francisco. In addition, he served as the National Finance Chair for Governor Martin O’Malley’s Presidential bid.
Martin graduated from Xavier University with a degree in Entrepreneurial Studies.
Mark joined Knott Mechanical as CFO in 2015. He has been in finance for a variety of companies for more than 25 years, including 10 years with a prominent HVAC manufacturer. Throughout his career, he has had additional responsibilities in Sales, HR, Purchasing and IT. Mark is married with three boys, enjoys spending time with his wife and kids, and is a huge sports fan.
